"Over the years, my son (Jared) has developed numerous friendships with coaches and players throughout the city of Tallahassee and the state of Florida. He has had a fun time participating in the summer camps over the past few years. This experience has instilled a passion in him for the game of baseball." -Mike C.

Wee Ball Goals

Have Fun

Begin to learn basic skills of baseball and softball such as hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running.

Ensure that all children have a noncompetitive positive experience which will create a long term interest in baseball or softball.

Wee Ball Rules

The game will be 4 innings long

All players will play every inning on defense

There will be no outs called, but outs should be attempted. Example: once the ball is hit, the defense should try to do the appropiate thing with the ball once they field it. Once all runners reach base, time is called by the defensive coach and the next batter bats.

Each player will bat twice per game.

Each team will divide their line up in half. Half of the line up will bat in the first and third innings the other half will bat in the second and fourth innings. If there is an odd number such as 11, then 6 would bat in the first and third and 5 would bat in the second and fourth.

After each batter bats he/she shall run to first and stop. All other runners on base shall advance one base and stop. The last batter of each inning shall be declared by the coach and after he or she hits then everybody, including the batter, shall run all the way home. Each player on the team should be given the opportunity to be last batter of an inning at least once during the season.
